TeamSnap is a team app first: schedules, availability and messages for coaches and families, with an organization platform on top. DugoutHQ is league software for baseball and softball only. Here is where each one is the better pick.

## The Short Version

TeamSnap wins on team messaging, availability and running many sports under one roof. DugoutHQ wins on the league itself: standings, brackets, umpires and a league site, with a price you can see before you talk to anyone.

## FAQ

### Is DugoutHQ cheaper than TeamSnap?

DugoutHQ is free to run; the only fee is 5% on registrations collected by card, and e-Transfer or cash registrations carry none. TeamSnap's pricing page (checked October 21, 2026) lists single teams from $0 with a paid upgrade and custom quotes for clubs and leagues, so a league price is not published to compare.

### Can coaches keep TeamSnap if the league moves to DugoutHQ?

Yes. Plenty of leagues run registration, schedules, standings and the league site on DugoutHQ while coaches keep TeamSnap for team messaging.

### Does DugoutHQ have team chat like TeamSnap?

No. DugoutHQ sends push notifications and in-event announcements, but it has no team chat, SMS or email blasts.

### How do we move from TeamSnap?

Export your rosters as CSV and your schedule as a file from TeamSnap, then send them to us. We rebuild the league for you at no charge. The steps are on our switching-from-TeamSnap guide.
