How to Export Your League's Data From LeagueLineup
The site goes offline August 31, 2026. Here is what to save, in what order, and what to do when there is no download button. Useful whether you move to DugoutHQ, move somewhere else, or just want an archive of your league's history.
The checklist
Nine Things to Save
Work down this list. The first two matter most — everything below them is recoverable with enough effort, and those two are not.
Team rosters and player contact lists
The hardest thing to rebuild from memory, and the thing your season actually runs on. Names, emails, phone numbers, jersey numbers.
This season’s schedule
Dates, times, diamonds, and matchups. If you are mid-season, this is what keeps games happening while you switch.
Standings and final results
Champions, records, and placements. Screenshot the standings page for every division if there is no export.
Historical statistics
Career batting and pitching numbers going back years. This is the data leagues grieve losing, and nobody thinks about it until it is gone.
Registration records and payment history
Who paid, how much, and when. You may need it for your books and for next year’s returning-player pricing.
Photo albums
Right-click and save, album by album. Tedious, but they are irreplaceable and no export button will do it for you.
Sponsor logos and contact details
Your sponsors paid for that placement. Save the artwork at full resolution before the site goes dark.
Your domain registrar login
If you bought a domain through LeagueLineup, find out where it is registered and confirm you control it. This one has a hard deadline you cannot undo.
Executive and board contact pages
Small thing, easy to forget, annoying to reassemble from group chats.
How to do it
The Order That Saves You Time
Start with the things only you can replace
Rosters and contact lists first, then historical statistics. Schedules and standings can be reconstructed from memory and old emails if it comes to that. A decade of batting averages cannot. If you only get an hour to do this, spend it here.
Use whatever export exists, then fall back to copy and paste
Where the platform gives you a download, take it — CSV or Excel is ideal because that is the format any new platform can ingest. Where it does not, select the table in your browser, copy it, and paste into a spreadsheet. It pastes better than people expect. Save everything into one dated folder so you are not hunting for files in February.
Screenshot anything you cannot copy
Standings pages, award pages, bracket results, the league constitution buried on a content page. A screenshot is a poor archive, but it beats nothing, and it takes seconds. Do this for every division separately.
Save photos album by album
There is rarely a bulk download for photo albums. Right-click and save at full size, or use your browser’s "save page" if the album is one long scroll. Tedious work — hand it to a board member who is not doing the rosters.
Sort out your domain now, not later
If you bought a domain through the platform, find out which registrar holds the registration and confirm you can sign in and control it. Check the expiry date and the admin email on file — if that email is a platform address, change it to one you control. This is the only item on this list with a consequence you genuinely cannot undo.
Check your work while the site is still up
Open your saved files and confirm they contain what you think they contain. Empty CSVs and truncated exports are common and are only fixable before the deadline.
Common Questions
When exactly does LeagueLineup shut down?
August 31, 2026. The date moved once already — it was originally set for May 31, 2026, and was extended. Treat the current date as firm and do not count on another extension.
Why is LeagueLineup shutting down?
LeagueLineup is owned by PlayMetrics, which has been retiring its older acquired platforms — Goalline and Pointstreak were both wound down in 2026. LeagueLineup had been running since 1998.
Will the site really be gone, or just stop being updated?
Plan for gone. Once a shutdown completes, public pages stop resolving and there is no support desk left to make an exception for you. Anything you have not downloaded should be treated as lost.
Do I need to pick a new platform before I export?
No, and you should not wait on that decision. Exporting is reversible and takes an evening; choosing a platform for your league is a bigger call that most commissioners make closer to registration season. Get the data out first, decide second.
What format should I save things in?
CSV or Excel wherever you have the option — every league platform worth moving to can import spreadsheets, including ours. PDFs and screenshots are fine as an archive but cannot be loaded into anything.
